Introductory Session

Opening Prayer

Father, We thank you for bringing us together tonight to learn more about your ways.
As you welcome each one of us, Grant us the grace to open our hearts and our minds, so that we may become closer to you.
You have called us as your own in Baptism, and
you have gathered us here this day to understand more deeply the mystery of your love for us.
We ask for your help to overcome our shyness and fears of meeting new people.
We ask for your guidance, and your blessings, as we begin this new year of classes.
Show us how to gather in your name, so that we might worship you in spirit and in truth.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen
