When the apostles asked Jesus to teach them to pray, he gave us the Our Father. or the LefrEl's Prayer. This prayer has Se¥eA petitions. Three of them refer to God. and four to people. "J.Ul~" means holy or bless", A person's name stands fur tbe~on himself or herself. \'0 ~h¥; statement we glorify God and ask thpt eyeryone livaio a W1tY that hallows God. Thy kingdom ~ ~'sking<:iOm or reign is one of ~a(le. justice, and love! We praythafrt wilJspread throughQut the world. We pray for the final coming of Christ and the fullness of the kingdom. Thy will be done: We pray that people wilt follow Bod's aU-wise plan.
